Speeding over the ocean in a boat approaching the Great Barrier Reef, I anticipate the enormous experience of what lies below the surface of my eye view of the moving water. Flying in a helicopter takes me to an even higher vantage point. The excitement of what lies below this visual wonder takes my breath away.
I contemplate how often in life do I limit my view to the surface of what I am looking at? So much of my time thinking about the obvious dominates my awareness.
When I stop thinking.........slip into my view through the eye of a camera.......I enter into the deeper possibility of seeing more truth...........beyond the surface........beyond the obvious. I enter into the slowing down experience of feasting my retinas with what I see.
